cost and run an audited test period for three months
to establish the actual processing time.
Most customers need a fixed cost for the operation that can be used for budget purposes. So when the task time is known and the other costs are added in (packaging consumed, waste, documentation,
stocktaking) a fixed price that may be subject to a contract is negotiated. This may be
£ per item, £ per order, £ per consignment or £ per month and vary depending on the level of activity.
Pick and Pack customers can hire a complete bay or section of a warehouse for a contract period and set both storage and service budgets for one to two year periods.
